• Students will build upon their chemistry foundation and have a “taste” of different disciplines of chemistry such as a chemical kinetics, and organic chemistry. Students will become inquisitive, critical, knowledgeable and open-minded throughout our science journey while learning the “How To’s” in a laboratory setting with “Hands-On” learning.

  •  Students will learn the basic principles of genetics such as heredity and variation in living organisms. Laboratory exercises will illustrate the principles of genetics, with emphasis on Mendelian inheritance in multicellular eukaryotes.

  • This is an advanced level college-prep physics course. We will focus on mechanics (forces and motion) in the first semester, and on electromagnetic phenomena (light, electricity and magnetism) in the second semester.

  • Students will learn the study of objects and their motion through space over time and how matter changes in a given environment. Students will become inquisitive, critical, knowledgeable and open-minded throughout our science journey while learning the “How To’s” in a laboratory setting with “Hands-On” demonstrations.

  • As you may have figured out, this is a chemistry class. Wait, don’t get up and leave just yet! Chemistry is more than just a “difficult” class; it’s a fun class that can be really rewarding. We’ll be going a lot further in to the world of chemistry than the other classes you may have had. We’ve got a lot of fascinating, exciting and sometimes potentially explosive labs as well as in-depth lecture and discussion of chemical systems, interactions and theories in store for you. Welcome to your first chemistry class!

The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with the basic information and concepts that are the foundation of modem biological science usinga molecular/cellular approach. The topics covered include the nature and process of science, the structure and function of cells, basic biochemistry and bioenergetics, molecular genetics and mechanisms of heredity, reproduction and development, evolutionary biology, and ecosystem structure and function. This class is a standard, college prep level examination of biology.

  • An exploration of the principles of the structure and function of the human

body at the cellular level.During the course, students will examine the tissues and their function of each body system. The major organs will be examined with an emphasis on the morphology and functional features of the cells and tissues. In addition, students will examine the areas of pathology, study of disease, associated with the organ or system of study. This course will engage students through the understanding of grade level appropriate text in an effort to connect essential ideas with respect to systemic physiological functions. Virtual dissection and lab work is a key component to recognizing and understanding anatomy and physiology.
